To support the demand of pharmaceutical goods transported globally, the business’s state-of-the art facility at London Heathrow features a cutting-edge Constant Climate Quality Centre (CCQC) for pharmaceuticals, with 29 dedicated cool cells and temperature facilities available from +2°C to +8°C (COL), +15°C to +25°C (CRT) and -20°C (FRO) ensuring sensitive shipments are held in a temperature-controlled environment at all times.

In fact, IAG Cargo recently completed a transition from Diesel to Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) for its 160-strong ground vehicle fleet at London Heathrow. HVO is a drop-in replacement for White Diesel, made from plant waste and from fully renewable materials, meaning that it has a significant impact on net carbon emissions. For IAG Cargo, this transition will reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% and overall, Scope 1 emissions by approximately 50%.
